Wonderful golf course and facilities well worth a visit

I am in the golf course architecture and construction business. I took a tour here some time ago with a friend to see the Tom Doak course for my own inspirations. The director, coincidentally sharing my name, was extremely informative, directive, and hospitable for our visit. He did not make us feel like an outsider, despite not being a wealthy member or guest that brought business. The course is a mix between heathland and coastal loamy vibe, with a minority of areas that feel like Africa? Super interesting layout that is supported by fantastically undulated and asymmetrical dune-line shaping, with more than half of the holes serving as good exemplars for creative and original design. There is an eclectic mix of bunker styles that make sense in both utility and penalty, rather than screaming indecisive theming preferences. I've played golf with the designer Tom before, so I hope he accepts this review if he sees it. We had a cocktail at the bar after the walk, and upon realizing there were no ubers or taxis in the area, the bartender so kindly offered to ride us home!! Just wow. The_Smith_Signature on Instagram
