Excellent accommodation with easy access to Munros. Two adjacent kitchens made it easy to split work on meals for our large group (although a few more large spoons and bowls would be welcome). Bedrooms are mixed sizes with most being spacious. Beds comfortable and clean. Assortment of community areas allowed the family opportunity to relax with or without the noise and buzz of everyone else.

Spent a few magical days at the end of December staying at Alvey House exploring the local Winter Wonderland and beyond. The property was immaculate and clean. Kitchen was well equipped and every bedroom had an on suite, some bigger than others but all perfectly useable. Its the first place I've stayed where before we entered into the house onto the lovely carpets I had to shout to my party "Right, shoes off and into your slippers, you're not getting my carpets dirty". Wifi was brilliant with true broadband speeds although my 4g connection on Three was also good so I mostly used that anyway, but no complaints from others. We done the local Wild Cat Trail and headed out to Ben Nevis on another day (about an hour away). Visiting the Cairngorm Mountains is a must, having excellent facilities and vistas. We also explored some local Lochs and went trekking on the Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve which again had some stunning scenery, especially with all the trees being frosted over and parts of the lake frozen. Just magical. (Photos are all taken from the grounds of Alvey House)
