I would have given the store 5 stars as the staff are lovely, helpful and the store is usually well stocked and always clean but I strongly object to the new policy regarding the manned checkouts being closed before 9am and in the later evening. If someone is purchasing a lot of items, they dont all fit on the shelf but the machine thinks you havent put it there and asks you to do so. It is slow and cumbersome when it is more than 5 or 6 items and invariably there is a problem. Also, those who work all day from home and can only go to the shop before or after work may not have spoken to someone all day and instead of being able to get help and speak with a real person, its a machine. I have no objections to using the self checkouts for a couple of items but really feel we are all missing the personal touch which is so important in a local shop - especially when you do have such lovely staff Kind regards Mari Pienaar
