A Victorian revolving bookcase, and a humidor, both beautifully restored by The Cottack Workshop - fully recommended.

Absolutely excellent service from Bruce who performed a repair on my chair. He provided some excellent advice and the work was top-quality. I would highly recommend The Cottack Workshop!

Bruce Webb is one of our most reliable restorers of unique pieces. We have collaborated with the Cottack Workshop on several projects, including this 8 seater Table. Using the base of an Antique French Country House Table we had in stock, and salvaged wood we acquired from the Newburgh Village Hall & Boddam Trinity Church Pews, we asked Bruce to construct a larger Table top, to match the size of the base. Producing a truly one of a kind, hand crafted, locally significant table.

Bruce is an incredibly gifted and caring craftsman. This painting by Jane Bradford of Newburgh, Aberdeenshire was commissioned to remind my wife and I of our beautiful Ythan bank home. Bruce found driftwood on the beach, that had sailed past our house, and created this wonderful floating frame. It was hewn from a single long piece of timber akin to a joist. Wonderfully stained in the grain with a rich array of shades from its time in the water the frame has a depth and character to it that belies its humble origins. The photos don't do the work justice. The care that has gone in to the planing and sanding of this timber to make the stunning frame is amazing. It is a work of substance. Bespoke and crafted with skill and heart. Eternally grateful Bruce. A true gentleman and skilled craftsman. Pete & Ce
