Not a great place to work. Agency people do not get treated well, SPECIALLY during night shifts. If you are a dedicated, energetic and devoted employee then please stay away from this place, they will make sure to use you as they please and if you do speak up for yourself as things can get pretty unfair you will be antagonized on the spot (they'll make sure to find/make up anything to put you in trouble). Pay is not worth the headache either. Avoid at all costs.

Despite telling staff during the admission process that my mother was at risk for falls, they did not secure her bed and she fell on the floor the first night. Their response? We will put a sensor mat on the floor (in other words, shed be allowed to fall again) until social services assess her. Luckily this was a weeks respite only but on discharge she had a deep graze all up the front of her shin which could not be explained. I was just glad to get her away from there. Terrible smell in the place which they try to cover up with air fresheners everywhere. Some staff are lovely but the manager that I dealt with was very disappointing and always tried to divert the conversation away when asked to explain why my mum had fallen and had large graze. I couldnt recommend it at all.

There are very few buildings like this. It sits on ground well out of sight and traffic. Unless you know it's there, you would never know. The level of care of great. It's a happy place to be which I can tell when I drop in to see my dad. I purposely vary my days and times so I can get a true picture of how the home operates. This care home specialises in Alzheimers/Dementia and are trained for this. Group: Church of Scotland Trading as CrossReach Person in charge: was Neil Watson (Unit Manager). He had to leave. I'll up date this when I remember the new manager who I believe this time is a lady. Local Authority / Social Services: East Renfrewshire Council Type of Service: Care Home only (Residential Care) Voluntary / Not for Profit Owned , 35 residents Registered Care Categories*: Dementia Old Age Specialist Care Categories: Alzheimer's Admission Information: Catchment area is Glasgow. Single Rooms: 35 Weekly Charges Guide: Personal Care Single from 756 Facilities & Services: Respite Care Own GP if required Own Furniture if required Pets by arrangement Close to Local shops Near Public Transport Minibus or other transport Lift Wheelchair access Gardens for residents Residents Kitchenette Television point in own room. The building itself suits on ground which has gardens at the rear. They have a dimensions dog who visited regularly The residents love him. They have a large fish tank in the sanctity room. Each room, as mentioned has a tv, but also there is a very large TV in the TV room. Outside in the rear gardens they have a summer house and a chicken coop.A recent addition they adopted/got as a donation, two parakeets. A bit noisy (now we know why they were donated lol) For visitors, there's a car park to the front. Automatic security gates and a small over flow if the carpark gets full. Sometimes this can happen on a Sunday when a lot of residents get a family visit which also co insides with an informal church service (all faiths welcome). My father is Jewish and he loves it as he was a singer and they concentrate on singing and all the residents join in. It's a lovely moment.
