Cannot praise Jackie enough for the service she provided. We knew in advance when Bruce was going to make his final journey, and had called a few days prior. She was so sympathetic and professional, which made a very difficult time much easier. Within 24 hours, we had him back home with us in a beautiful casket, with card and poem. Just beautiful from beginning to end. Thank you.

I would like to thank Jackie for her compassion, professionalism and efficient service having lost my labrador Alfie. Having his remains reunited a day later following cremation certainly eased the grief.

Can't thank Jackie at the Nairn Pet Crematorium enough. She was so kind and helpful when we lost our girl last week, and went above and beyond to help us during such a heartbreaking time. Everything is done by appointment, so it's very private, and you get plenty of time to say goodbye to your pet in private. We felt confident leaving our girl in Jackie's hands, and she was returned, beautifully presented to us, much much quicker than expected. Very professional, caring people, thank you so much.

My ex partner and I opted for a local cremation service and this place had good reviews. We turned up to find that it was a building in an industrial site surrounded by rubbish. Upon entering the building it got worse: there was no private space to say goodbye to my beloved cat Nicky and the space that was there was directly in front of the front door with traffic going by and the other side of the room taken up with sale items (expensive urns.) I do not live in the Highlands, so we had to wait until I could come back up six days later to pick up the ashes. In the meantime, the Crematorium had called to remind my ex partner that the business was cash only and all that was owed had to be paid in full before we could get Nicky's ashes back. We arrived together at the industrial site to find that Nicky's ashes were waiting for us, packed in a reused cardboard box with the shipping labels ripped off, and an invoice attached to the box with sellotape. Additionally, I had taken him to be cremated wrapped in a sheet, as he loved to sleep in with us both when we lived together. This sheet had been stuffed into a bin bag so astoundingly cheap that you could have read the newspaper through it. The sheet wasn't even folded. I was shaking with rage and began crying, and this intensified when I opened the box to find a cheap plastic flower, an impersonal card of remembrance and a cheap, laminated home printed poem about 'the rainbow bridge.' This had been cut from a larger sheet of paper and was not cut straight. I appreciate that any crematorium is a for-profit affair, but it should be operated with tact and dignity, not (as this place was) with all the subtilty and grace of a sledgehammer being thrown through a medieval stained-glass window. It really is all about the money with these people. Avoid.
