We hired a Motorhome to tour the Outer Hebrides and the North of Scotland. Not really knowing what to expect with facilities etc...I can honestly say this is the worst campsite we stayed at...don't be fooled with the comments that she's a lovely old woman. She's charging 25 a night and her facilities are well below standard. The shower room was disgusting and we wouldn't have used it. Thankfully we were only staying for 2 nights, If the weather had been nicer we'd have left after the first night. There's a very steep hill and a gate to the entrance so if you're in a Motorhome it is very difficult to enter and leave to explore Harris... Avoid at all costs. I read the reviews and gave her the benefit of the doubt...aw a nice old lady and you're basically camping what do you expect....well quite frankly a lot more for 25 a night. We stayed at far more superior sites for a lot less with much more to offer and much better facilities...I'd rather have stayed elsewhere quite honestly I.e. at a parking bay using our own facilities. You learn by your mistakes don't make this one and book The Minch, even as a last resort-that's what we did as everything was fully booked. Avoid at all costs it's the worst place we stayed and will never return. All the other campsites were exceptional and far superior to this one and most of them cost less. Don't even consider it if you're stuck, go off the road and use your own facilities you'll save money and be glad that you did! . s the worst campsite we stay

Minch View caravan park was not for us. The pitches if full would have been very close together. The bottom pitch was very wet and muddy due to the rain. The facilities were a joke, 4 separate areas, one for dish washing, with lukewarm water, 2 toilets with handbasin the floors seemed to be rotten, 1shower which kept on blocking and you had to keep on using a plunger so that the water would run away. We didn't stay our allocated time.
