Served me even when they were closed ! I'd just arrived on the ferry for my very first time on Hebridean soil & wanted a couple of items of food, some vegetables as self catering in a Motorhome & I found it closed even though on "Google" it said they should be open & as a telephone number was provided, I phoned the number to ask as there didn't appear to be any other food shop on the island open at that time on that afternoon & I got an answer phone so left a message, soon after the proprietor rang me back & said his son was there in the shop & would serve me, I was around the corner & he did very nicely thank you. My first & unforgettable experience !

My Mum rang from across the water to arrange a gift to a local Centenarian from his cousin no longer on the Islands. The Gentleman and Lady from the shop who spoke with her on two different occaisions displayed that Island warmth and helpfulness that I remember from my childhood and got it sorted for them. Bravo, and deep thanks on behalf of an Irish "cailleach"
