I have Magnet kitchen with framed doors. I required a replacement hinge and took old hinge with me to ensure I got the same hinge. The salesman (Musselburgh trade counter) was not interested in old hinge and gave me a bag of two hinges costing 23.60. I questioned size of hinge and was told, that's it, if it's no good you need to get a joiner to do it for you! As expected hinge too small for unit so I returned with my unit door and old hinge for comparison. I also found a framed unit in the showroom and said this is what I have at home. Sales man indignant as he gave me the right hinge but was not remotely interested in helping me find a new hinge to fit. Didn't get a refund for incorrect hinge either! Clearly Magnet not interested so I tried a local kitchen supplier, The Breagha Kitchen Co at Fenton Barnes East Lothian, a small private company who hand build lovely kitchens. I asked for a hinge. Absolutely no problem to supply the correct hinge to fit, which I fitted myself. Simple when someone listens. I thoroughly recommend The Breagha Kitchen Co for polite helpful service and worth getting a quote if looking for a new kitchen! Although I like my Magnet kitchen the after sales service is non existent. Next kitchen will not be Magnet.

Can a kitchen showroom be anything but absolute nightmare fuel? Turns out, yes! I'm a person who likes rooms to not be too hot, not to get hassled by staff, and cool stuff to play with. All present and correct.
