Alba Glass and Glazing

Alba glass came and replaced two hinges on this window. As you can see from the photo, this window no longer closes at the top, which given the change of weather is now impossible to ignore. At no point have they reposonded to our emails concerning this ornd offered to come and correct their work. They are onbly interested in new work and new money!

I had a very poor experience with Alba on a job which started in September 2021 and was not fully completed until April 2022. Whilst the fitting team were always courteous and competent there were many errors and problems with the glazing units supplied. If you intend to use this business please be aware of the following: 1. Alba often ask for full payment before any windows are installed i.e. before the customer has a chance after installation to check the work fully. At the time i used Alba this was a breach of the Trusted Trader Code of Conduct. As far as I can see Alba may no longer be listed as an Edinburgh Trusted Trader 2. Alba advertise Veka windows on their website. However you will not actually know who is manufacturing the windows. In my case i believed the windows were to be Veka but they were manufactured by a different Company- Liniar (and to a different specification) 3. Our quote said the glass would be "Pilkington" . Pilkingon is regarded as a market leading brand. However it was not Pilkington that was supplied but rather "Carey"- a different brand. If you intend to use Alba i suggest you are clear on the payment terms, what you are actually to be supplied with and from whom. This is separate from the fact that many errors were made on our installation which neccesitated multiple visit, letterrs of complaint etc to resolve. Service: Glass installation

10/10 Massive thanks to Alba Glass for fixing another companys poor work. All the team were super helpful and not out to screw you over. I needed a window pane refitted asap and Alba glass were happy to help. I tried calling around 10 other glaziers in Edinburgh who werent interested in helping or giving me the time of day. I wont be going anywhere else for glazing in the future. Huge thanks to all the staff at Alba Glass. Service: Glass fitting
