Excellent accommodation run by Jim and Helen - the friendliest hosts you could wish to meet. Beautiful, well set in the lovely village of Tomintoul and perfectly provisioned cottages. Ideally located for the Cairngorms and ventral Highlands. Plenty of walking is available directly from the house or a short drive away. Within reach of the cities of Aberdeen and Inverness, the village is quite centrally located. The Dark Skies reserve gives opportunity for star gazing and the potential to see the Aurora Borealis. We will most definitely be back in the future.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting. House is so clean and modern with everything you could want during your holiday. Warm with underfloor heating. Only thing which could have improved it for us would have been an upstairs shower. We were 2 families and so allocated separate bathrooms during these strange times. My husband has Parkinsons and so had to use upstairs bathroom for ease of access at night time. This meant he didnt have access to a shower. Would not usually be issue but - strange times!! Had excellent weather and we would have enjoyed outside table etc. Again not a big issue compared with all that was excellent. Will definitely be back

Excellent accommodation and location. Really does feel like a home away from home. Tranquil spot where you can either relax and watch nature and time go by, hike, taste a wee dram or cycle the quiet roads and varied mountain bike trails. Cottage itself was immaculate and well kept with all the final touches for an easy self catering stay. Travel to nearby locations like Aviemore, Inverness and the Moray Firth for dolphin watching were a highlight.
