Can not recommend Balkello enough. From our initial contact up until we left was brilliant. We originally booked the apartment but due to an error Sandra realised we were double booked so she gave us the option of a refund on our deposit or a free upgrade to the lodge. We took the lodge and did not regret. The place has its own driveway and garden area and is very comfortable. It is superbly equipped with everything you would ever need and even had a dishwasher and washing machine. The wifi was great and much appreciated by our teen. Sandra and Neil are great hosts and there if you need them but leave you in peace otherwise. The welcome pack of shortbread and a bottle of local wine went down well. Summary - Superb and will definitely recommend to friends and family and if we are ever back in the area will certainly try to book the lodge Thank-you Sandra & Neil

Beautiful lodge, lovely setting, even when it's raining. The break was given as a gift from my daughters and they chose very well. Short drive to Dundee and, contrary to the reputation given over the years, we found it to be a pleasure to explore, especially the McMannus Gallery. The lodge was secluded but not isolated and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. Hope to be back sometime this year.
