I visited this lovely little museum to see the special exhibition on The Moffat Ravine Mystery ( The Ruxton Murders). Having written extensively about these notorious crimes I was impressed to see the finest exhibition I have seen on the subject - including the famous maggots which gave birth to Forensic Entomology. This exhibition is a must for true crime fans. Well done Moffat Museum . Tom Wood

Really enjoyed my visit. Spent much longer than Id imagined I could have! The new temporary exhibition about the birth of modern forensics is utterly fascinating. Dozens of press clippings about a local 1930s murder which I quite literally lost myself for hours reading. The core exhibits are well presented.
