I have been buying from Gordon for years. Such a talented man who deserves all the success he has acquired over the years. A visit to his studios is a pleasure, he is always ready to down brushes and chat, though he is always very busy. He frames is own work, and never scrimps on the quality of the materials he uses.

SUPERB TALENT! Gordon Wilson is a class act. World class in fact. He is at the forefront of creative composition and treatment. I've seen his quirky, spirited work being subtlety mimicked all over the place...a true testament to his abilities. I've bought his work over the years, and sometimes deliberately look elsewhere, ' for a change'. However, I'm reeled back in as Gordon's work constantly develops. Ever so slight changes appear which keep his presentations fresh, attracting new interest, without losing his established trademark pieces. But be in no doubt when looking at his current portfolio, of bright, bold, funny characters and settings that, first and foremost, he's a fine artist and moves forward from that. I was watching a popular TV show recently where judges consider houses nominated for home of the year. It was no surprise to see one of Gordon's paintings hanging in the winning house! I had a commission done by Gordon of my grandmother's house at Maidens overlooking the sea to Ailsa Craig. The finished article was incredible and EVERY day when I look at it, with it's accompanying poppies, fields and wee bees, I'm transported back to my childhood. Gordon is also very good company with a sharply honed sense of humour. A visit to his gallery in Milngavie can only be described as " a right guid wee day oot". But you don't have to believe me...go see for yourself! -Forgot to mention the gallery has a car park and there is plenty of free street parking nearby.

Just picked up a print for my birthday. Second purchase (and not last) but first time in studio. First print posted due to covid restrictions. Wonderful to chat to Gordon and hear about the stories behind the inspiration and obvious talent.
