As you can see from my picture, I visited on lovely day, so the waves were calm. But if you manage to catch it when the wind there is a southern wind you're in for a treat. The whole town is so family oriented, it's Scotland's hidden Hawaii! Anything from a day trip, to a fitness push, a family holiday that feels like you have found home on a different planet. Absolutely beautiful island, with lots to see and do, the higher you go the more astonished you will be. The sights are something to behold. I'm not even recommending you to go, I'm telling you that you must go... Although beware the weather can turn quickly, I guess that's why it has world class status for surfers
