courtyard cottages

Along with my family and friends l have just spent an amazing weekend in Courtyard Cottages, we rented all five cottages for my birthday celebration and everyone agreed that the accommodation and location was perfect. Claire and Paul are the perfect hosts, the cottages are spotless and well equipped. Myself, my husband. our daughter and our grandchildren plus the 2 dogs have now been to the cottages four times....we will most definitely be back for visit number five! Thanks again Claire and Paul. l hope you enjoyed the birthday cake.

We had a very relaxing week in Garden Cottage. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. As we love walking, Claire suggested a book of local walks which proved extremely useful for exploring the area. The sole use of the swimming pool for an hour a day was a delight. Thank you Claire & Paul.

We stayed for a week in August 2021. Wed previously stayed in 1985 with our young family and had a great holiday, so we approached our stay with some trepidation: would a holiday that was great for a young family over three decades ago still be enjoyable for the two of us, now retired and ageing gently? Absolutely it was! The owners, Claire and Paul are very welcoming, approachable, helpful but never intrusive. The cottages are on a farm, a short drive from Wigtown in a quiet rural area, which is unspoilt. They are well equipped and comfortable and where whole place is very clean and well organised. Dont be deceived by the rural nature of the area. Theres plenty to do. The farm has a more than adequate swimming pool, play equipment, friendly and characterful animals and plenty of quiet spaces where you can sit with a quiet glass of wine and watch the sun go down. This part of Galloway is full of beaches, harbours villages, walks, wildlife, history and of course the Wigtown book shops. Will we recommend this to our friends? Yes. Will we bring our grandchildren? Hopefully. Will we be back? Definitely!
