Millar Organics Rural Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at Alexa's cottage. The attention to detail of the cottage is well thought out, I've already placed an order for the body wash they supplied! The area is perfect if you want to shut out the outside world but close enough if you want to explore a little. Andrew was kind enough to let us help feed the pigs. Thank you! We ordered the Lamb Tagine as an extra, and I can't tell you how tasty it was. The portion was generous, and the flatbread and homemade garnish was a nice touch. It was lovely not to have to go worry about finding a good place to eat when you just wanted to shut the curtains and settle in front of the fire. I wish that we had ordered another home cooked meal for our second night. Thank you, Alexa & Andrew

We loved staying at Millar Organics Farmhouse Cottage. Peaceful, quiet and very comfortable with a lovely log fire and cake, muffins, homemade apple juice and fresh ground coffee / hot chocolate on arrival. We ordered the breakfast hamper as recommended in past reviews, which was delicious and lasted us 3 days, so well worth pre-ordering. Our hosts went over and beyond in so many ways to make our stay memorable, and the surrounding area is beautiful. Thank you Andrew and Alexa for your warm hospitality.

We had a wonderful 2 days away at Alexa's place. We only got good things to say about the stay: Accomodation: spotless, cozy and tastefully decorated cottage within a quiet and beautiful village in the Scottish borders. Transport: we don't drive and travelled by train and bus from Edinburgh, it was easy and quick and the cottage is easy to find. Things to do: Our main goal was relaxing and walking so it was the perfect location for that, plenty of nice walks around so spoiled for choice. Extras: We definitely recommend the breakfast hamper , the quality of the products provided is just amazing, I will be missing those eggs and apple juice for a long time! We also recommend you try out the evening meals that the hosts provide, they are really good quality, very tasteful and easy to prepare and they easily match a restaurant meal in quality and quantity. Hospitality:Hosts were perfect, made every effort for us to feel at home. They were the best! Definitely recommend staying at Alexa's Place!

Just returned from a two-day stay at Millar Organic Farm. The accommodation was spotless and in a great location. We took the breakfast hamper option and weren't disappointed. The quality of the products was exceptional, and the apple juice was something else. Alexa was a brilliant host who thought of everything. I just wished we could've stayed longer and will be back in the future

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The location ,set on a small organic farm, the quality of accommodation plus the wonderful food provided by Alexa and Andrew make this a fabulous place for a short break or a longer holiday. We ordered a prepared meal for our first night's stay. Lamb tagine with rice, flatbreads, yogurt dip etc. It was heavenly and great value for money as it saved us going out to find food elsewhere.
