I have had 2 emergency appointments with dentist David Currie in the last 2 weeks and today I was booked for a scale, polish and root canal. David explained the procedures to me in layman's terms and mentioned all the costs involved so there were no surprises. He was polite, kind and gentle and I have had no pain whatsoever, during or after my treatment. This is the kind of dentist who takes away anyone's fear of attending a dental appointment. His dental nurse was great too as are the admin staff. The practise is immaculately maintained and scrupulously clean. It was a pleasure!!!!!! Hmmmmm. Maybe going a tad far there lol

I've visited this practice three times 1/ to register. 2/ for an emergency appointment where I was told that I had an abscess under a tooth that needs to come out 3/ to get said tooth re moved, and now I have been waiting SEVEN YEARS to become a regular on there list, I know that we have had COVID so if we take 2years of for that that still leaves 5 years, when I first registered I was told that there was only a 6 month waiting list,

I just moved to the area and had to have an emergency consultation with an abscess in my tooth. I was in agony and my face was swollen up. I think it was the dentist called Mr. Collins who I faced timed with. He diagnosed my problem and gave me appropriate antibiotics with a full list of things to look for to make sure I did not get worse or have a reaction to the meds. I took two days of the pills and just as he said the pain went away and my face started to get back to normal. I still have three days to go and will of course finish the course. However, a very strange thing has happened. I have had a seriously bad back since a late baby in my 40's and it has progressively got worse leading to me getting severe pain after about 9 paces and having to sit down. Today, I not only felt better than I have felt in years that I actually went to the shops with my husband and daughter intending to sit in the car. I had a mask and gloves in the car so I decided to go into the supermarket . I not only went around with the trolley in that shop but went to another one and did the same thing - no pain in my back for the first time in 23 years. There must be something in the Amoxicillin that is helping my back. I think this needs investigating because I was told after an MRI that only an operation could help me and that was 50/50!
