The room we had was large and very spacious. The bed and pillows were comfy and a good night sleep was had. The bathroom was spacious as well, with a large bath and separate shower. There was no hairdryer in the room and I had to phone reception for one, one was delivered over an hour after I asked.
I went to use the swimming pool before dinner and when I asked where the towels we located the staff member was rude and said I should have changed in my room and not brought any belongings down with me as the lockers don't work. He then explained the changing rooms were unisex before eventually telling me where the towels were. Not a great interaction.
The swimming pool itself was nice and a good facility.
Dinner was disappointing, the dining room was a little busy when we visited but service was slower than it should have been. And the waiter wasn't very friendly.
Breakfast wasn't great either, we sat down and within a minute of ordering a full Scottish breakfast the order was delivered, leading me to believed it had all been cooked and was just sitting in a hot plate somewhere. Not what you would have wanted.
The hotel location is fantastic, great views and an easy walk into Inverary.
Overall, an okay stay. The service could be massively improved across all the staff, but the room was comfy.
