Great walk to see the Striding Arches. The first can be seen by walking a short distance up a track just before car park. You have to walk all the way round the building to see it, and inside. To see the other take the forest track up to summit of Cairnhead. There you get a great view of the other two across the hills. An option is to take track to Benbrack which would change it to a 9 mile walk instead of six. Heads up about getting there. It's a 7 mile single track road with passing places also lot of potholes. For the last couple of miles this turns into a rough dirt track so great care must be taken. The car park has plenty space and there is an information board.

The long long narrow road full of massive potholes from Moniaive to the Byre make it quite a trek. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to get there on a warmer summer day. We walked from the Byre up to Colt hill arch.
