We stayed at Lotus Lodge to celebrate my sisters hen weekend. The accommodation was clean & welcoming. The bedrooms were cosy and bed very comfortable. The only room that could do with a little refresh perhaps is the lounge. The house is very well equipped - you literally had everything you could possibly need! The outdoor area is great too & we made excellent use of it due to the lovely warm weather we had during our stay. Wanlockhead is a beautiful village - we all really enjoyed sitting out the front with a cuppa on a sunny morning watching the sheep roam freely! Lisa was so helpful and really quick at responding to any queries we had. Hopefully we get to return one day soon - loved it!

Lotus Lodge is a wonderful location for large family get togethers. We booked for a week to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary with 15 family members ranging from 5 months to 73. All were accommodated comfortably and the facilities are excellent with a large dining table, comfortable u-shaped couch in the large lounge and nice size farmhouse-type kitchen which satisfied all our needs. The house is attractive with a large fenced garden which gave our 2 dogs freedom to run around. Locally, sheep roam free so the garden is a bonus for dog owners. The location has stunning views, especially from the top of the hill at the back of the house which I climbed in about 1/2 hour through heather covered ground. Theres a number of places to visit within 15-30 minute drives with interests for all ages. We visited Sanquhar, passing through amazing scenery, and used the indoor swimming pool, Moffat and Drumlanrig Castle gardens. Plenty to see and do before returning to very comfortable accommodation.
