Rooms: The rooms are pretty basic but enough for your needs - beds comfortable, Tv, kettle, etc all fine. Walkability: There are great walks straight out of the hotel along the river Nith. Beautiful scenery and flat although the footpaths are uneven and wouldnt be suitable for electric chairs. Noteworthy details: The staff were really friendly (Karen) really lovely and helpful. The bar and main seating area full of history and character. The grounds around the hotel are stunning and its very dog friendly which was great for me. Loads of nature/wildlife round about. About a 7/8 minute drive to Dumfries.
