        Recently stayed in Melrose and enjoyed a couple of visits to the Ship. Very friendly staff, great service, good atmosphere. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the amount of people vaping inside. I know in Scotland the rules are different and I believe it is upto the venue but this had a serious effect on our enjoyment. Being surrounded by 5 people at one point all vaping was not enjoyable and in all honesty stopped us from eating there.

        Absolutely superb. Great uber polite staff who couldn't be more helpful. We had the OAP 9.00 deal which was elegantly sufficient and very tasty. The surroundings were great as well. We will certainly be back.
