We were recommended the Bakehouse for lunch snack. Boy, were we thankful. This place is a gem. Our value takeaway tea was superb, this was in Melrose. We were lucky enough to spot another branch in Kelso and again were not disappointed. From here we also purchased some Cherry fruit cake and Selkirk Bannocks. On returning home we have now had a chance to sample both, they are fabulous. Wish we had purchased more. Might try and do a post order! Good luck to them.

I hope this does not offended anyone. On Thursday last week I bought 6 morning rolls as I have done for years as I stay in Melrose at 1 This morning after a bit of the usual chat with the very nice Lady who runs the shop 6 rolls 1.25=25%increase. I unfortunately done what I said l would not and paid for them. I would like to give them a chance as I hope this was a mistake

Stumbled on this place while passing through town. Awesome sweet AND savory options. We are foodies and pretty particular....but we loved everything we had (and we tried quite a few, because we had to make sure!!!)
