We stumbled upon this garden by accident and couldnt have been happier. Its very small but well maintained and you can see the melrose abbey from the garden. We loved it and plan to spend more time here during spring and summer.

Gorgeous little garden with loads of apple trees. If you are there in September, bring a couple of pounds and you can buy the apples fresh from the tree. Only takes 20 mins to stroll slowly round the whole place, so maybe bring a picnic and soak it all in.

Lovely spot for a sit and a relax in Melrose. No toilets but there's some just up the hill, for 30p!

If you visit Melrose do not miss this gem of a garden. This garden is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. Entrance is free but you can leave a donation. The gardens are very close to Melrose Abbey. It is good to note that it is dog friendly obviously with a lead. We enjoyed a good wander also visited the orchard with a good supply of apples in various stages of ripeness. It really is a quiet, peaceful place and you can enjoy a seat and just listen or watch.
