Food menu looked good pity chef couldn't cook it took so long making coffee it was cold fish was dipped in oil then put on plate had to send back even then not mich better save your money go elsewhere

Excellent shark fin soup. Ryan refused to let me have cutlery as I was apparently only qualified to eat with chopsticks. Kid-friendliness: Kids are extremely at risk here

My friend and I plus one dog ended up at Maybole on Saturday 8th October 2022. We didn't want anywhere too packed out as wanted a quiet drink and some nibbles and we decided to try the Bistro. My friend went in to ask if we were ok to go in and sit by the fire - we weren't exactly dressed for a Saturday night out, but the gentleman who owned the place really couldn't have been more welcoming! We ended up sat by a lovely open fire with a nice glass of wine each - we then decided we wanted some nibbles. What we wanted wasn't on the menu but the owner was so happy to put something together for us and accommodate me as a vegan too, it was great. Cannot recommend highly enough supporting this local business. Would be lovely to go back again. Thank you. Dietary restrictions: Happy to cater for me as a vegan.
