A little gem. We were on our way back from a few days at Culzean, and in need of breakfast. We chanced on this place just as it opened. A friendly, efficient volunteer run shop and cafe, well stocked and supplying excellent breakfast rolls in amongst a selection of home bakes. Clearly well loved by the locals as well. We left with the warm glow good food and good company give you. Thank you.

I was going to wait and get a McDonald's, but when I seen this place advertised on the main road I thought I would stop by for a bacon roll and scone. Glad I did, really nice food. Bacon roll, scone and jam, cup of tea and a bottle of juice just over 7.

Called in to get some provisions for the journey home after staying at Deerhound Cottage in the village. An excellent community shop - lots of choice, very reasonable prices, tasty cakes and there is some local art for sale as well. Didn't get chance to try the cafe but will definately do that when we return
