Great morning shopping with friends and family. Got nice plant for front garden. Had Tea and Scones in Restaurant served by the nicest and politest male member of staff called Josh. Actually all staff where lovely but this boy just stood right out and tge other boy behind till as well. Yeah lovely experience.

I have been going to this Dobbies for a few years, have spent a lot of money in it and always would go to the restaurant for a coffee and scone or a bite if lunch, and I was really pleased when a dog area was opened up. I went today, with the dog, who lives going into Dobbies, decided to have a coffee. The queue was a 30 minute wait, the scones are obviously not fresh, chewy and disgusting. I ordered an espresso which was given to me in a mug so it was frozen immediately. Sitting in the dog area, which was empty apart from me, my dog was sitting in my knee,I was sitting out from the table and she was looking out to the main store, whoever was on the concierge table came over and asked me to keep the dog on the floor. Now I e been here several times and the dog,a small Yorkie has sat on my knee and I have never been asked to keep the dog on the floor. So I'm truly mad at the poor poor service and a completely senseless request being made to keep the dog on the floor when we were the only ones there and it was only a very bad coffee I was having. Needless to say I won't be back at this Dobbies, the organisation if the new restaurant is disastrous and I saw as many customers walk away as it is so badly organized. I suggest there's a rethink of this restaurant, it used to be full on a Saturday and Sunday I see today it's empty. It was an awful experience

Majority of people who wanted just coffee were squeezed into a small area while the larger area was only a quarter full but was reserved for those wanting breakfast. Hate to be corralled with no choiceinto
