When passing trhu Mallaig last thursday morning with my partner, we stopped by to have breakfast. We were attended by a quite unfriendly lady. When ordering 2 capuccinos she asked if we wanted a chocolate topping, to which we answered yes. We also ordered 2 jac-o-bite breakfast combos. The capuccinos weren't served with chocolate, but with a spoon of powdered milk sprinkled on top...and there wasn't any bacon or cheese in our breakfast. When asking the waitress only about the latter issue, she said that both were inside the scone in our plates, which obviously wasn't true and made it clear that she was playing us for fools. So far we were really enjoying our holidays in the Highlands and delighted with the extreme niceness of the people we met. We weren't ready for that kind of behaviour. Maybe we were served according to our appearance, not looking local, as we saw the waitress being nice to other people. Though we were being very polite and smily all along. 23 for that service seems quite expensive.
