Had a good stay here and Mallaig is an exceptionally beautiful village that reminded me of places like Padstow and St. Ives before they were ruined by holiday homes and tourists. Whilst they didn't have their own restaurant and bar they were happy to recommend a nice pub up the road and even gave you a business card that entitled you to 10% off food there! I had arrived straight from the Caledonian sleeper and, by the time I arrived, had spent the best part of 14 hours on trains, so it was a great relief that they were able to check me in early as I was somewhat desperate for a shower. I was travelling on a budget, so the room met my expectations, it was clean with a modern shower room, however, the window looked straight onto a wall, it was only for one night and, as I said, on a budget so certainly no complaints. I thought the breakfast in the morning was fantastic, certainly a very hearty helping, and there were multiple choices for cereal and fruit etc. as well. The only thing, which was actually quite funny and could also be easily remedied, was the fact that the bed was on coasters and the floor was laminated wood - so the moment you sat on the bed you went rolling off towards the window! Overall I would certainly come back here and stay again if I was back up that way.

Nice hotel couldn't fault it or the staff Would recommend it to anybody looking for a nice place to stay Nearby activities: The cabin restaurant to eat sea food fantastic every thing cooked fresh the staff were fantastic
