Great location, plenty of walks and stunning views. The itself House was stunning, however its very very damp with mould around the windows and on the back of curtains and could do with some money spent on it to fix the problem due to its age. Its not great for the kids having asthma/ adults too, we all found the house could also do with a good deep clean also. Overall thought we had a lovely time but these little flaws really let the stay down. A bit more TLC on the house and this place would easily be 4-5*.

We love this house!! We rented Mansefield House and Campbell Cottage for a family reunion earlier this month and absolutely loved it. We had a large group (22 of us), so we're used to bunking up when we all get together, but with both houses we were all very comfortable (and it's just a short walk between the two). The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and well furnished. The bus stop is just 10 minute's walk down the road and made travelling to/from Glasgow (and to the Highlands beyond) simple and stress-free. We spent a lot of time relaxing at the house, cosy-ed up in front of the fire, but it was dead easy to walk to the surrounding hills or the pub next door for those who wanted some activity. The hosts, Ali and Fiona, were amenable, charming, and generous - they had plenty of suggestions of things to do nearby, and the Mansfield Studio just behind the house was the perfect souvenir spot for our international family members to find gorgeous handmade keepsakes. We were sad to leave at the end of the week, but if we're lucky we'll be back soon.
