Tarbet Hotel

Beautiful location. Mortified that this hotel is used by tour companies to share our Beautiful country to visitors. I have so much to say about this hotel....none of it good. We stayed on an Itison voucher...they had no interest in us after supplying the code. Food, we must have been thrown in with the tour company Menu. Was worse than dinner school. Bulk made, kept under hot lights to keep warm. Awful. Room, dirty, smelly. Only thing that was clean was the bed sheets and towels?. The bed was broken. Completely collapsed on one side. No sleep. Bathroom was body fats. Unclean. Yes it's an old building, but no need for it to be in such state. Do not stay here.

The room was big and nice enough but could do with updating. There were stains on the bedding and half a roll of toilet roll in the bathroom, and the TV needed to be tuned in. The windows were single glazed and we were next to a busy road so it was quite noisy. The staff were friendly and accommodating however were up and down our corridor all night shouting and chatting loudly. The hotel itself and the location are beautiful though.

This place is a disaster avoid ! , Arrived at 3pm (our time slot to check in), got told our room wasnt ready, during our 3 hour waiting period, we went for dinner in the restaurant got served with food which I would say wasnt even up to standards to serve to my dog. Which then we get hit with a packet of crisps for complimentary because our meal wasnt edible (setting us back 30). Eventually our room was ready at 6pm which the very rude gentlemen insisted it wasnt their fault and there was nothing they could do about it. Got to our room carpet stained , bathroom floor covered in crumbs, the shower had a handful of hairs and there was a surprise of feces left in the toilet for us. It is also a 5 fee to park your car In the hotel car park, but once u arrive and park u cant leave again as u will be charged a further 5 every time u re- enter the car park. Shocking customer service and standards.

Staff just not interested Walkability: Plenty trails Food & drinks: Limited menu breakfast cold and flasks with ready brewed tea freezing cold. Noteworthy details: 5 for car park/night dining room needs cleaning. Bar staff just not interested or hygiene no entertainment. Poor advert for a Scottish hotel. Very low budget

Nous sommes des gens plutt faciles vivre et prt comprendre que certaines choses ne se passent pas toujours comme on le voudrait, mais l, a a clairement dpass les bornes. Le jour de notre arrive, nous nous sommes prsent l'accueil 14h30, le check in tait officiellement 15h00, il nous a donc t annonc que la chambre n'tait pas encore prte, ce qui n'tait en soit pas anormal. Je demande s'il leur est possible de garder nos sacs (nous voyageons en transports en commun) pour qu'on puisse se promener un peu en attendant. Impossible me rpond la personne de la rception : ils n'ont pas de place pour les bagages des clients, pourtant, je remarque deux sacs dos poss juste derrire elle. Un peu agacs, on ressort et on attend une demie-heure pour revenir l'heure officielle de check in. Cette fois, c'est un monsieur assez g derrire le comptoir. D'autres personnes attendent dj et il semble en grande difficult. Les chambres ne sont pas prtes, ils ont beaucoup de retard, non, il ne peut pas nous donner d'heure prcise. Bon, dans ces conditions, est ce qu'on peut quand mme vous laisser nos satans sac dos ? Mais bien sur voyons, pas de problme. Il nous ouvre le portillon de l'accueil et on laisse le tout. De retour quatre heures plus tard, notre chambre est enfin prte, elle est grande et la peinture semble rcente, les lits sont confortables, la vue sur le loch est charmante. Mais la moquette ne semble pas avoir rencontr d'aspirateur depuis un moment ... Et l'isolation phonique ce n'est pas encore a : nous avons "profit" jusqu' 23h pass d'une animation musicale organise pour un groupe de touristes du 3em ge et a s'est enchain avec les ronflements de tracteur de l'occupant de la chambre d' ct. Le lendemain, la mme jeune fille qui avait refus de garder nos sacs a quitt son poste l'accueil pour aller fumer une clope dehors l'instant mme o on arrivait pour rendre nos cls. Franchement, on a commenc se demander si a n'tait pas une sorte de blague. Bref, un bon emplacement, un lieu extrieurement trs joli, mais si vous pouvez vous loger ailleurs, n'hsitez pas, vous serez certainement mieux traits !!!
