Excellent care & service by John, Andy & team at my recent appointment at the Kirkcudbright practice. Very professional, friendly & approachable with time taken to review & explain eye test results and help choose & fit appropriate frames and lenses. I have been going here every two years since it opened in 2013 and was most fortunate in 2019 to be quickly seen & referred by John to DGRI when sudden & alarming deterioration occurred in the vision of one eye. After care is very efficient too, especially welcome when a young dog has a passion for reshaping your glasses!

I cant say enough nice things about John Caulfieds, his professionalism, he truly cares about helping his patients. He is exceedingly thorough in his work and goes above and beyond the normal opticians. My son has not double but triple vision which most opticians havent even tried to helpJohn is working on experimental glasses to correct this. Donald my son and myself are truly grateful for his help.

I cannot speak too highly about the care and professionalism I have received at John Caulfield Opticians. My decision to approach John for a second opinion on the increasingly poor state of my eyesight was an excellent one. Following tests, I was referred to DGRI Ophthalmology and within weeks I underwent the first cataract removal operation, and await the second. Throughout this time, I have found John and the staff approachable, understanding and friendly; I have been treated as an individual rather than just another client. My thanks go to all at the Lockerbie practice.

I have just been to John, for the first time, for a thorough examination as I wanted a second opinion on the overall state of my eyes at the grand old age of 62. He impressed me with the depth of his knowledge, the high-tech equipment at his disposal and his ability to discuss quite complex issues in layman's terms. He will be my 'go-to-guy' from now on. An excellent optometrist.

This was my second time in John's opticians and from the friendly greeting on entering, through the very thorough and excellently explained eye examination by John, I felt safe and left knowing that I made the right choice choosing this opticians.
