So in March 2023 I visited for a meal as it was my mother's birthday and she picked the hotel as they said they were not busy and we could have 1 whole side of the restaurant to ourselves as we had 14 people, of which 7 were under the age of 8 so it was always going to be chaotic.
The staff were good and coped with the kids running around everywhere. The service was quick.
Personally I would say the food was average. I haven't lived in the area for many years, and I realise the food may be good or decent for the area. But if you compare it to a similar price in other cities or towns, then this food was very basic.
If the hotel was in a larger town I would have given it 3 due to the food, but since it's the only place around there and there are not many options, I have given it a 4.
We asked for extra chocolate sauce with one of the desserts and the waiter was nice enough to get it.
Most of us had 3 courses, the kids mainly had 2. It came to just over 300 for everything.
If you are in the area, I would say stop by.
