Cant speak too highly of the place. The produce and service are top quality, probably why the shop is always full.

This is a review exclusively for the Lockerbie Marchbank Bakers. Most of the staff are pleasant but some of them are not pleasant at all. One staff member in particular obviously doesn't want to be there and is unpleasant with customers as if they don't want to deal with them, they can't seem to muster a smile at all. I mean it's food service, we should be able to expect a little courtesy considering they are a small business competing with a Greggs not even 30 yards up the street. Been overcharged a few times which I can only attribute to absent mindedness. Generally the food is good but at 8.44 for a Coffee, a Sausage and Onion roll and a Cake it bloody better be ( I believe I was charged twice for my Chocolate Eclair). Also they do a loyalty card scheme where if you purchase a Coffee and a hot filled roll 4 times, you get the fifth for free but good luck getting a card. I go there frequently and honestly question going back almost every time but I continue to go because I like to support local businesses and the food is genuinely very tasty. I will recommend their Chocolate Eclairs however they used to do cream filled Choux buns which were absolutely delicious, unfortunately they seemed to have stopped selling them much to my dismay. Very little is priced or labelled so you find yourself pointing at what you want, saying "could I have one of those thingies?" and sort of shrugging your shoulders on how much it would cost which I'm sure is actually illegal. I shouldn't bash on them too hard though as generally it is a fine establishment however today I was particularly perturbed at being overcharged AGAIN.
