Wouldnt touch this garage with a barge pole. The man is a con artist. We put the van in for repair on broken electrical locks. Colin bought the parts and took the locks off and gave the van back to us in pieces. He charge us the labour for taking it apart and for the price of the part. He did not fit the new part and he didnt even give us it but still charged us for it. I would give him a 5 star rating for his dishonesty. We asked him to refund the part and have not heard from him ever since even after attempting to contact him many times. STAY AWAY!

I presented a Mitsubishi Shogun requiring a fuel fault problem, however before the work was to be carried out, I asked the mechanic to assess the corrosion issues on the underside and the chassis, to assess whether the work would be cost effective. Colin Cairns assured me it was just surface rust and a jet wash would remove the majority of the problem, and a wire brush and wet and dry paper would prepare the surface for under seal and further paint to prolong the life of the vehicle. I provided many of the products needed to repair the mechanical issues, which he advised would be viable and cost effective. Most of the work was carried out to a satisfactory standard, however a new water pump I provided to be fitted wasnt fitted after a detailed examination. I also provided 8ltr of Castrol Magnatec stop/start C3. All the old pats were put in the back of the jeep, minus the old water pump which wasnt fitted as instructed, however was charged for the labour for removal and replacement. When I collected the jeep from G A Autos, the inspecting mechanic said the vehicle body work and chassis were literally a write off due to the cost of labour due to major corrosion on the floorpan/rear crossmember & chassis. I also noticed the M.O.T cost was 25 however Colin Cairns charged me 50 to take the vehicle no more than 100yards/5 minutes maximum journey time as its located within the same small industrial unit. I also noticed before I took the vehicle away, Colin Cairns wiped the oil dip stick, and I noticed the oil was dark brown in colour and hadnt been changed. I challenged him regarding this and he offered to change the oil again. However I had had lost trust in him, and requested 2x 4ltr Castrol Magnatec, 1x Oil flush, 1x Oil Filter. Which he provided without hesitation. I spent over 2000 sorting the fuel fault, cam belt change, and another issue which in my opinion was down to him working in low light and missing a lose retaining bolt on the cam shaft top supports. Avoid at all costs, conman, incompetent, and a lier
