Mr Carpet

I made contact with the couple that do carpet binding in advance of committing to a purchase of a large carpet needing bound. I was assured by telephone they were still in business and all was good. I was delighted as had used before. I proceeded to purchase said carpet circa a week later, I again called the couple and was told "cannot take the carpet right now, call back in a week". I called back in a week and was again told "really busy - cannot take carpet" I then explained thats fine because I have another two weeks before it needs to go down due to delivery of a large piece of furniture. We all agreed to call back again - Which I did and was told cannot do my carpet, was advised of a place in Edinburgh - which by now was no use because I would need to hire a large van. I was pretty angry by now and explained I had made good contact with the couple on a few occasions now and would not have bought carpet given this mislead. As it stands I have large carpet, not bound, delivered to home and rolled up - was thinking I need to bin it but the Mrs is now trying to fast track learn 'binding a carpet' - she is pretty good with things but is struggling. The above is merely a depiction of what actually occurred. Seemed it did not matter I had called and does not take names or orders but safe to say I would not recommend - nothing personal because used the gent before and all went great. Just reporting facts as I have been left up sh*t creek.
