Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. Attended weddings and High Tea's and was perfect. Sadly last nights meal was terrible. I really struggled to break through the haggis bon bons, the scallops were very over done and dark in colour, my poached egg was like a hard boiled egg. We ate them to be polite but did mention the issue. Main courses not great as my chicken , in the chicken Balmoral was so dry I just left it as I couldn't eat that. The fish was left as a thick yellow paste under the batter put the person off, with a fear if they ate it they would be ill. Probably just a bad evening,and a one off but after receiving a discount and it was still just under 80 sadly we will not return.
