Unreliable, confrontational I booked my wifes car in for a service drop, off 09:00 collect 12:00, confirmed by email. We dropped the car off and went to a couple of chores we had planned. By 13:30 we returned to Western to check on the car. A member of staff, I think her name was Rachel, came out and angrily started shouting YOUR CARS NOT READY. I DIDNT PHONE YOU. DONT COME BACK UNTIL I PHONE YOU. Other people in the showroom were obviously taken aback. I stated the booking was for the car to be returned at 12:00. She started shouting again I DIDNT AGREE TO THAT. ITS ONLY AN AGREED TIME IF I AGREE TO IT. I stated that arguing wasnt productive but we needed some feedback. She said the car would take a further two hours. We collected the car from a different staff member without issue. My wife was late for a work meeting. Other garages inform customers in advance if they are unable to honour a booking, allowing the customer to make appropriate arrangements. Toyotas service standards seem to be that expected collection times should be notified to customers. This staff member seemed to deliberately avoid confirming the expected. The garage phoned a few days later to ask if the car was OK. I stated that we were dissatisfied with the attitude of the staff member and that the booking had not been honoured. No response was received. I received a customer satisfaction questionnaire from Toyota. I pointed out the issues. A service manager called Stephen contacted me and requested an email address, this was provided but no response was received.

Service overall very good however our car did get blocked in by guy on test drive. Luckily he was back reasonably soon however he seemed to he getting priority (perhaps because a new purchase). He was also quite rude but that's not Toyotas fault). I also feel area is very congested with cars but again not sure of solution. I do think though that if your collecting your car you shouldn't have to hang around so long. Actual staff and service was fine but not as smooth as usual. I'm sure if we had been buying new things may have been different. MOT only.
