The Queens Hotel, Lerwick

The most disgusting run down ruin of a so called 'Hotel' i have ever stayed in, there was no one at reception to check us in, after making a phone call a lady appeared after about 15mins, we were allocated our rooms on the top floor, upon running the shower there was no pressure of water, I couldn't actually take a shower, my colleague's room had stained bed sheets and bath towel (Brown Stains) and the bin wasn't emptied, he eventually got moved to another room, there was no food or bar facilities, room only the lady said, you get all this for the nice price of 68.95p per night

Not the cheapest. Location is great. I haven't heard any rats like some other guests say. I love the sound of the water outside. My last 2 visits have been fine. Mattresses are new. Shower is fine. Towels are clean and so is the bedroom. Harvey is a nice guy who is working really hard to make it work. I guess it's not easy buying 2 hotels in the Shetlands and putting 55inch tv's and making it modern. I'm so glad there are no Premier Inn's, travel Inn's, McDonalds etc in Lerwick. It would take away the charm of the place. Internet is good. Negative points are tv is a 17inch. Could do with breakfast, shower gel and shampoo.
