After looking at Craigs website, we thought his relaxed style was great and thought he might suit the feel we were going for on our wedding day. Having met him, we decided to pay him 900 to take pictures of the most important day of both of our lives. Unfortunately the results were underwhelming to say the least. Reasoning that he must have some images that he hadnt sent for some reason, we requested that he had a look. However, we were made to feel like it was our fault and our responsibility for being dissatisfied. A sample of Craigs emails are as follows; It is pretty normal for people, particularly women I'm afraid, to be hyper critical of their appearance in photos. Nothing like general sexism could possibly justify your inadequacies within your chosen profession. Obviously you don't have a double chin, however even the thinnest person can, if they have their head down and chin in, have a excess of flesh which may be, in their opinion, unattractive where it's actually just normal. Imagine expecting less than forty percent of photographs being taken when you dont have your head down and chin in when paying someone more than 75 per hourwhat an eejit. I work fast and my aim is always to capture moments and show emotion more than it is to ensure everyone looks "perfect". Photography shows what you were doing and how you looked at a particular split second. Comments from guests included that the photographer looked bored, uninterested, wanted to leave. I'm not sure how a photo can be "unusable". I would deem a photo unusable should you never wish to see it again in your life. Like, never. In what way do you feel the dancing photos are framed oddly? In that we paid good money to have amazing illuminated letters of our initials and theres not one picture of both of us with both of them in view. Or ya know, one with both our faces in. I didn't see Anna's niece during the run up to the ceremony or during the ceremony it's self. There may have been more shots of her if I had. Youre right I did get a shot of her arriving at the reception but I wasn't asked to pay particular attention to her. My niece found a train and shouted choo choo! during the ceremony. Nobody missed her. Unfortunately, our trusted photographer did. Being painted as being some sort of bridezilla- unreasonable, unrealistic and unnecessarily vocal is just not cutting it in 2014.

LOVED MY WEDDING PICS!! our photos are better than I ever thought they could be. I loved how you captured everything we wanted and now we can't stop looking at them. Every picture is so natural and reminding us of how much fun we had on the day. Can't believe how quickly they came back, great wee treat whilst I was on holiday. Thank you x

We booked Craig after looking through what seemed like 100's of photographers! His photos were exactly what we was looking for with a relaxed but quirky style. We couldn't have been happier with out choice, from the very beginning he was great and we were thrilled with our engagement shoot, wedding pictures and his professionalism on the day. He supplied us with over 400 photos (which were ready for when we got back from honeymoon and we even got to see a few sneak preview ones the day after!) we loved them all so much it was so hard to choose which not to put in our wedding album! Brilliant photographer, thank you! x

Craig took the photos for our wedding in 2013 and I was really really happy with the service he provided. I wasn't your regular bride, I hadn't been dreaming of my big day for years so I wasn't quite sure what I wanted or needed from a wedding photographer and Craig was brilliant from or first meeting he had great ideas about how to manage the photos, advice on what shots we should get and how to handle an extremely photo-shy groom. On the big day Craig was fantastic, there was no yelling at my guests to stand in a certain way, he was relaxed, friendly but inobtrusive, and didn't make my wedding feel like a series of catalogue wedding shots, which is exactly what I wanted. He even managed to get my husband to relax in front of the camera. He was with me while I got ready, put my mind at rest and my family loved him. In addition to this he did some great pre-wedding shots for my husband and I, which are some of my favourite shots from the whole wedding. So pleased with the results - see for yourself on his blog: http://www.mcbethphotography.com/blog/?p=3153 My advice to anyone using a professional photographer is 1. use Craig and 2. have a think about shots you want beforehand, but also allow the photographer freedom to catch the day as it happens!

We spent a long time researching our wedding photographer, and right from our pre-shoot we knew that Craig was absolutely the right choice. He was very relaxed, which helped with our pre photo nerves and obviously talented, evidenced by the great photos he shot. Fast forward a couple of months and he turned up (early) in Fife, armed with a list of requested group shots and the names of specific people we wanted a little more focus on. He absolutely delivered on what we asked for - but most importantly for us got loads of natural in the moment shots, lots of smiley faces, more than a few tears and some gorgeous pictures of our nieces and nephews . Craig captured some lovely moments, without us even realising he was really there. We had no idea exactly what Craig had got until we received the USB - and to say we were delighted was an understatement. And all of our family are so pleased with them too - even the particularly picky ones! All I can say is if you want a first rate person, this is your man - you won't be disappointed. Megan & Ian
