We've been a fair few times in the past and decided to go last minute with my two adult sons but sadly this time we were left very disappointed. They didn't have my main course available so I had to choose something else. I decided on the steak pie but the pastry was very chewy and the steak meat very very tough (couldn't even cut it with a knife). This made it inedible. There was hardly any mashed potato and no gravy on anything so a very dry meal. The pie was an ok size but the mashed potato was maybe two spoonfuls. My son's had the chicken fajitas and the Rigatoni which again was a very small portion. We hadn't planned on desserts but were all very hungry after our main course so I chose the sticky toffee pudding. The sponge had a later of hard crust and I think it was actually a bit burnt as that was the taste I was getting. It came with a very small scoop of vanilla ice cream which had melted somewhat when it was served to me. We left hungry and had to pick up food on the way home. Also from finishing our main course to being given menus for desserts was a good half hour wait at least and I had to go and find someone (we were sat outside as it was a lovely day - we very much felt forgotten). Really really disappointing and such a shame when it's a lovely venue.

Popped In on Saturday for lunch and have to say was very impressed. The hotel and bar area were beautiful modern and relaxing. The weather was so lovely we sat outside over looking the garden and out to the sea it was stunning. But I have to commend all the staff both inside at the bar and outside waiting on the tables for their lovely manners, smiling and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They all wore their uniforms with pride and it showed. Cant comment on the rooms as only popped in for lunch, but can imagine it would be spectacular for weddings. A great experience. We will be back x
