Weve been wanting to try this place for ages as it has so many good reviews, but we were extremely disappointed with what we got. We ordered a smoked haddock supper and Black pudding fritters with mushy peas and tartar sauce. After waiting 15 minutes (which I dont mind as long as the food is worth the wait) The chips were stone cold, the batter on the fish was super thick and very greasy. We never got the black pudding, we got haggis given instead (which also had super thick batter) the peas were rock hard and undercooked (didnt even know you could do this to mushy peas) however the tartar sauce was excellent, hence the 1 star. We ended up binning most of our food and headed to Nardinis instead for cake and ice cream (highly recommend). Having paid 22 for inedible food, its safe to say we wont come back but when the average age of your staff is 16 (I counted 6 of them standing around doing sweet FA with one adult frantically trying to hold the place together) couldnt really have expected anything else than an utter disaster.
