First and foremost they understand coffee and make cracking espresso. Secondly the team are unfailingly helpful and friendly. Thirdly, the cinnamon buns are the size my head. I would love to see this cafe use some single origin coffees and maybe offer another brew method such as aeropress or v60 pour over but what they do, they do very well indeed! Oh and the cakes and sandwiches are delicious too

Coffee a tad bitter, Vic cake was moist enough BUT no wee fork to eat it with so I just used my tea spoon. Payment is by card only & it's difficult to cover your pin number - so please be aware of that be4 u venture in & dogs r allowed in as well & the staff were pleasant enough. WENT IN AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY 16TH NOV 2022 One if the waitress was clapping a small dog for about 4mins & I hope she washed her hands after that. Emma was pleasent & easy to talk too. I had their lentil soup & as in most eating places that i frequent - I had to ask to get it heated up a bit more - which was no bother for them to do & it wasn't too thick or too watery - just fine & their coffee tasted good with a wee bit of sugar added to it. Their slice of Victoria sponge tasted gr8 & the butcher's next door sells the best tasting award winning B.P. (black pudding) from McCaskill's Weems Bay & if u like b.p. rember to by a few slice.
