Open from 2pm on a Wednesday, this Hotel ended up being a refuge on a very wet day in Langholm as the rest of the village was closed. Only the bar was open but it was a friendly atmosphere and the Guinness was good... And very reasonably priced. The bar area was a bit cold, (Perhaps just a sign of the times) We stayed for another pint..... Would have been rude not to! Walkability: Easy walk from the campsite near the rugby club into the village.

We popped in here last week for a quick drink which turned into a few hours due the the friendly and warm welcome we got from the locals, it seemed a bit loud when we first went in but dont let this put you of this is a great place for a cheap pint and socialising, we went to another bar down the road which was empty probably due to the patronising and derogatory manner in which me and my partner were subject to by the guy behind the bar, apparently only men make good chefs!
