(Translated by Google) The hotel is run by a friendly couple who have renovated the hotel in a modern Scottish style. Breakfast was included and you could have dinner in the restaurant. Ideally suited as a stop on Route 500! Perfect for feeling good.

Dog friendly hotel. The room in the courtyard had a double and single bed. Great shower. The wooded area behind the hotel is great for walking the dog. The evening meal was fantastic, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was just as good. Food & drinks: Food was all local produce. Fantastic

Absolute gem, from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. The owners are a lovely, warm, accommodating couple. We stumbled on this place, looking for a place to stay in our motorhome. Even though the Mey has great luxury rooms surrounding it, the owners allowed us a spot in the very large car park. Great choice of locally brewed beers. lagers, ciders and whiskies are plentiful and you can even buy several sample glasses. That brings me to the food, absolutely gorgeous. I had the stew and the flavours blew me away. Home made fresh, tender juicy steak surrounded by perfectly cooked veg. Top that off with buttery mash, and the experience is unforgettable. We followed up with a lovely locally sorced cheese board and a coffee with our liqueur of choice, mine being tia maria (very nice). We're up doing the Mc500 but im so glad we found this lovely spot. I would pre book if you want to eat or stay but pop in for a tipple of your choice. Its worth it just to meet the owners, lovely people. Got to add, well behaved dogs welcome too.
