May 2021 Really lovely home from home. Jacuzzi bath in main n bathroom and separate jacuzzi style in shower room. Fully equipped laundry room. TV in smart comfortable lounge and another in well equipped kitchen/dining room. Bosch Tassimo pod coffee machine ideal. Nice comfortable bedrooms and even office room overlooking garden with chairs and good broadband connectivity. Weather late May was improving with little rain and we were able to explore coast from John O'groats to Kyle of Lochalsh with fabulous beach walks and views. Ann very helpful with local info so all in all a great holiday and hope to visit again.

Stayed here in October. We had such a lovely, comfortable few days at The Knowles. The perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Particularly enjoyed the Jacuzzi bath. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for better.

The conservatory with its comfortable seating is ideal for reading or chatting, and the kitchen and dining room are well equipped and of a very high standard. You can survive bad weather in the treasure chest of a holiday home. The bathrooms are also particularly lovingly furnished and very good. There's even a laundry room. There is (finally) no shortage of clean cupboards. The two landlords are very nice and committed, they are happy to give tips for trips. The house is very nice for excursions everywhere and you have very good shopping not far away. The Orkney Islands and towns like Thurso are not far. There is so much to see that you can explore by ship, car, bike and on foot. (Original) Kurz gesagt: Das beste Ferienhaus in 20 Jahren! Sehr, sehr gepflegt und uerst liebevoll eingerichtet, das muss man wirklich ganz besonders hervorheben. Der Wintergarten mit seinen bequemen Sitzmglichkeiten eignet sich wunderbar zum Lesen oder Unterhalten, auch Kche und Esszimmer sind bestens und sehr hochwertig ausgestattet. Schlechtes Wetter kann man in dem Schatzkstchen von einem Ferienhaus bestens berstehen. Die Badezimmer sind ebenfalls besonders liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gut. Es gibt sogar eine Waschkche. An sauberen Schrnken herrscht (endlich mal) kein Mangel. Die beiden Vermieter sind sehr nett und engagiert, gerne geben sie Tipps fr Ausflge. Das Haus liegt sehr schn fr Ausflge berallhin und man hat sehr gute Einkaufsmglichkeiten nicht weit entfernt. Die Orkney-Inseln und Stdte wie Thurso sind nicht weit. Es gibt so viel zu sehen, was man mit Schiff, Auto, Rad und zu Fu erkunden kann.
