        Fun for all the family and at any time of the year. Especially the Saturday morning Parkrun.

        A great tranquil spot in Lanark with easy access to parking direct from Hyndford Road - there is also easy access, by path, from parking at the nearby racecourse. There are childrens play equipment and there is always lots of nature to see and in particular swans. There are plenty of grassy areas and benches to picnic located around the loch and from approximately April to September there are also some activities available, tickets for which can be purchased from the kiosk and usually there are a selection of ice creams and soft drinks on sale. There are also public toilets located here and when these are closed the adjacent Inn at the Loch is thee ideal place for refreshments and a comfort break. Fishing for carp is available, but a permit must the purchased in advance.
