Very clean and cosy cottage but lacks character. The owners are next door, whilst Bob was very helpful they overlook every move we make. There is no privacy. The house was very warm due to warm winter weather outside, but we werent allowed to reduce the hive heating system as the owners were monitoring this remotely, instead we were told had to adjust the radiators on and off. As a result quite uncomfortable to sleep in the night due to the warm temperature inside. We got disturbed quite a few times for the 3 days we stayed. Bob was quite helpful when I needed to top up my car charging and let me plug the car on to the 3pin plug at home however presented me with a bill just prior to leaving without a warning that they would charge for it. The kitchen was well equipped, but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The Wi-Fi was very slow The cottage was fully decorated with lots of festive lights all through the night. This destroyed the dark sky experience we expected from a remote area. It was quite a waste of electricity. Its a nice cottage but not for someone like us who are looking to get way after a very hard 2 years working in the NHS, looking for some quite undisturbed time.
