        We got married at Forter Castle in October 2012 and returned to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. To say the Castle is just as beautiful as we remember was a complete understatement. It was even more spectacular, as we now had time to sit, enjoy, and reflect on the love felt all around this building instilled by the Pooley family. We have no words for the love we have for this place. Every single thing you could imagine had been catered for! We would also like to thank Marlyn who was so gracious as to allow myself and my friend to ride her beautiful fell ponies. Thank you all!

        A fairy tale setting, a unique property and wonderful owners / custodians who've transformed this citadel not only into their own Scottish home but a unique rental proposition that affords the best of Scotland on its doorstep. A must!!!!

        Simply gorgeous. More of a fortified tower than a castle in terms of real world scale. Beautiful location with the Glen rising around it. Quirky vintage interiors, stone spiral staircase. Very nicely appointed with a lived in, homely feel.
